Nutrition Division
Introduction
Nutrition Division is under the Public Health Program which functions to:
- Plan, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate nutrition programs in four aspects, namely planning, supervision, promotion and nutrition surveilance.
- Implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the National Nutrition Action Plan of Malaysia (NPANM).
- Development, advocacy and implementation of the National Nutrition Policy.
- Provide comprehensive nutrition services to individuals, families and communities to promote healthy eating practices.

Vision
To be the leading national nutrition towards the development of a healthy generation.
Mission
To achieve the level of nutritional well-being of the Malaysian population, the Nutrition Division will:
- Develop and implement effective nutrition programs for individuals, groups and communities.
- Integrate nutrition into national development policies and programs.
- Enhance cooperation between agencies in implementing nutrition activities.
- Promote active community involvement.
Objective
- Assess and monitor the nutritional status of the community.
- Promote healthy eating practices among the community.
- Prevent and control nutritional problems related to nutritional deficiencies and excess intake of nutrients.
Client's Charter
- Information materials related to infant nutrition that meet the approval code screening checklist are given feedback on the results of the Ethics Vetting Committee Meeting within 14 days after the date of the meeting
- Ensure that all complaints received, handled and resolved within 14 days from the date of receipt
- Ensure that all inquiries received, handled and resolved within five (5) working days
- The requirement of 7 days of training for all civil servants in the Division will be met annually"
