The Family Health Development Division (BPKK) is the backbone of public health services at the primary level in the country. The services delivered through various public health facilities are comprehensive and cater to all age groups—from birth to the end of life. The scope of services consists of five components: WELLNESS, EMERGENCY, HEALTH INFORMATICS, DISEASE TREATMENT, and CLINICAL SUPPORT. BPKK is one of four divisions under the Public Health Programme, which in turn is one of the three main programmes under the Director-General of Health Malaysia. BPKK is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for various approved policies and for monitoring the progress of projects and activities at the grassroots level.
To fulfill these responsibilities, BPKK has two branches under its administration:
