Nursing Division

Introduction

The Nursing Division is responsible for

 

  1. Regulating nursing through

    1. registration

    2. licensing
    3. disciplinary proceedings
    4. Malaysia Nursing Board and Mindwives Nursing Board examinations
    5. drafting/ammend acts/regulations
  2. Nursing profession governance

    1. Nursing practice that meets standards and ethic

    2. strengthening competence through training, privileging, and credentialing
    3. developing/reviewing nursing guidelines and policies
    4. human resource management
    5. monitoring of competence, efficiency, and effectiveness of services through quality indicators

Providing quality service by:

 

  1. Advancing the nursing profession to a high level of value
  2. Enhancing knowledge and innovation and educating a first-class mentality
  3. Managing nursing issues constructively and productively
  4. Improving and maintaining the quality standards of nursing services.
  5. Enhancing and strengthening the mechanisms for implementing and monitoring nursing services.
Objective
  1. Increasing productivity in nursing training and services.
  2. Generating new resources in technology and knowledge, service-intensive, ICT, and nursing expertise.
  3. Strengthening the Nursing Administration System.

Client's Charter

The Nursing Diivision is committed and constantly strives to provide excellent service to every customer by ensuring:

 

  1. Every customer dealing at the counter will be given accurate information and explanations.
  2. The Malaysia Nursing Board (MNB) and Malaysia Midwives Board (MMB) examination results slips are sent via email to Higher Education Providers (PPT) within seven (7) working days from the date of the examination results announcement.
  3. Ensuring the process and issuance of certificates meet the specified deadlines as follows:
    1. The Nurse Registration Certificate will be issued and sent to the Nursing Training Institutions thirty (30) working days after receiving the complete application form.
    2. Applications for the Annual Practising Certificate (APC) that are complete and received before September 30th will be processed before December 31st of the current year.

    3. Temporary Practising Certificate (TPC) issued within thirty (30) working days after the Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB) Qualification Examination Results Declaration Committee Meeting for new applications from Foreign Trained Nurses.

  4. Approval for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points will be notified to the organizer/applicant within seven (7) working days before the program is held.
